About BME Designs
BME Designs is a passion project focused on sharing positive, community-friendly images and ideas via simple products. The concept of community means different things but many link to shared identities and or activities while others link to places. The products from BME Designs will offer both.
Sharing the ‘Kids with a Flag’ image has been a bit of a dormant dream for more than twenty years. The image illustrates the simple happiness of being with friends and sharing a common idea. We can all benefit from a sense of community that comes with the shared pride of being an American.
KC Kind
The KC Kind concept came more recently, building on the experiences over a few years living in the Kansas City area. It took some years to trust the kindness of the people of Kansas City was actually real – this was true from communities tied to work, to friends’ kids’ sports activities, to the Royals or Chiefs, the Ballet or the Nelson Atkins. It will be true of the coming Frontier Army Museum.
In the same way the rallying cry of ‘Boston Strong’ was intended to describe the resilience and strength of the communities of Boston, KC Kind is intended to describe the feeling one gets while visiting or living in Kansas City.
The Ride Your Ride cycling group is one such community; the jersey was the first BME Design.
